I do not have a nintendo wii my next door nabor might allow me to try my controlers at his house.
I did acsidently plug the controlers in upside down. I didn't know the logo was supposed to go up.
I loaded eatc program that used the nunchucks and the controllers plugged in was detected. But the serial write of button or joystick status did not changed when I pressed c on some of the games on eather or bot controlers and the position did not change. These are knockoff controlers not official nintendo ones so maby that is someting.

Yeah, we've definitely seen errant behavior with the knock-off controllers when trying to talk to them like we do on the VGS. One knock-off had a joystick that didn't give a proportional value, it would jump from "center" to "100% left" to "100% right" with no intermediate values, and I had another knock-off where pressing the Z button would signal the both Z and C were pressed. Weird stuff. Fortunately we've never had any trouble with any of the official Nintendo controllers (Nunchucks and Classic Controllers).

If you do happen to find a source of cheap knock-offs that work with the Arduino I2C nunchuck libraries / VGS, please let us know, we'd love to sell them through our website store.
