he i has a question
i want to use your pong but i have a problem
i cant use a clasic controler or a nunchunk
is it posible to convert the script so it can be controled by to potmeters?

my setup has 2 motmeters (analog 2-3)
a mini speaker (digital pin 3)
and the sync and video signal on pin 8 and 9

it is all build up round a vieuw finder (display)
so it is portable and handheld

Yes, it would be completely possible to convert the pong game to use a pair of pots. We have been asked this by a number of people, and we will put it on our list of things to do. If you end up writing something that doesn't require Wii peripherals, if you send it to us, we can share it out so everyone can use it.

Do you have pictures of your setup? It sounds pretty cool.

Just wanted to let everyone know that we've added a version of PONG that uses two potentiometers as the controllers instead of Wii controllers. The new example sketch is called "tv_2p_pong_potentiometers" and is available in our regular library zip (http://www.wayneandlayne.com/projects/video-game-shield/download/, as well as on github (https://github.com/wayneandlayne/Video-Game-Shield). By default, it uses analog 0 and 1, but that can be easily changed by searching for the two lines that use analogRead, and changing the numbers there. We also wrote up a little blog post about the hardware setup and has some decent pictures: http://www.wayneandlayne.com/blog/2011/01/16/playing-pong-on-the-video-game-shield-with-potentiometers

Your viewfinder looks awesome, let us know how it works out for you! We really like to feature cool uses of our kits on our blog and website, so we'd love to hear back from you when you're finished.

Sound comes out pin 11, and goes through a voltage divider made by R11 and R12, then through a coupling cap C1. These three parts are all in the upper-left corner of the pcb above the prototyping area. Good luck!

I just assembled the wave shield and it worked fine I fallowed the last step jumpering the shields circuit to the pins.
Could people be having the problems and myself with the NYKO nunchucks and it not showing up in the serial print program and only showwing that it is plugged in but no button presses or stick movements because some pins need to be jumpered?
I am using a arduino uno.

The pico projector hooked to the game shield looks great it outputs red if I do the one of the video modes ntsd or pal.

What problems are you having? It sounds like your are having troubles with the Nunchucks? Did you try the nunchucks by themselves without the wave shield?

For the regular video game shield operation, you shouldn't need to do any jumpering. I know that we had a blog post a few months ago about some jumpering you need to do to get it working with the Arduino Mega, but don't let that confuse you.

Glad to hear that the pico project is working with the VGS! Post photos somewhere and we'll like to it from the blog/twitter.
